NAMIBIA SAFARIS AND THE NAMIBIA WILDLIFE RESORTS:

The ‘Namibia Wildlife Resorts’ used to refer to 3 wildlife resorts (the Okaukuejo Camp, the Halali Camp and the Namutoni Camp).  However, in recent years the resort number has been extended to include one more – the Onkoshi Camp. These Namibia Wildlife resorts are all located in the Etosha National Park, which is by far the most popular safari park in Namibia!

The Okaukuejo Camp is located approximately 17km from the southern entrance of the Etosha National Park. This camp has a permanent flood-lit watering hole, providing amazing wildlife viewing at night when the animals populate the watering hole. The accommodation comprises of bush chalets located in the natural environment catering for couples and families. There is a swimming pool, restaurant as well as some lovely shops! The Okaukuejo Camp activities include guided night drives and fantastic day drives.

The Namutoni Camp is found on the eastern side of the Etosha National Park and is located in the middle of an old fort. This fort is an old German fort overlooking the King Nehale waterhole. The fort is a great tourist destination complete with shops, restaurants and lovely historic remains. The middle of the fort is only for foot access, no cars are allowed! This camp also boasts great viewing decks with bush chalets (camping is also available) as well as day and night game drives!

The Halali Camp is nestled between the Okaukuejo Camp and Namutoni Camp in the Etosha National Park. This wildlife resort is at the base of a dolomite hill (formed from the mineral dolomite which is very rare!) and is surrounded by loads of Mopane trees. There is a flood-lit watering hole surrounded by raised viewing decks for optimal wildlife sightings. The accommodation comprises of lovely chalets as well as camping facilities; there is even a beautiful swimming pool. The Halali Camp boasts fantastic night and day game drives as well as some very informative nature walks!

The Onkoshi Camp is the latest edition to the wildlife resorts in the Etosha National Park! The accommodation is eco-friendly with only 15 rooms. The Onkoshi Camp is not on normal safari routes making it a hidden and secluded delight. All rooms are elevated for you own personal game viewing with local furniture adding to the safari experience.
