The Best of East Africa Safari is an aptly named safari as it really shows you the very best that East Africa has to offer! This is a 15-day upmarket East Africa lodge safari where you will be able to explore the wildlife, culture and highlights of Kenya and Tanzania all while staying in the comforts of East African lodge accommodation.
A small group 4-star premier lodge safari with all nights in lodges or permanent tented camps, no participation and a guaranteed window seat, starting and ending in Arusha, including most of the major highlights of Tanzania and Kenya.

Days 1: Arusha
You will be collected from the airport and transferred to your lodge on the outskirts of Arusha. The rest of the day is at leisure to rest and prepare for your safari. Over dinner we will have a pre-departure meeting. [D]

Day 2: Arusha – Manyara National Park - Manyara
After breakfast you will get picked up from your hotel in Arusha for the start of the safari of your lifetime! We visit the Arusha Market for some last minute preparation before we set off towards Manyara.
After settling in at the lodge and lunch we go for an afternoon game drive in Manyara National Park. [BLD]

Day 3: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast we leave for a full day game drive in Tarangire National Park. [BLD]

Day 4: Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Ndutu
We have an early departure for a game drive in the world renowned Ngorongoro Crater. For many this wildlife spectacle is the pinnacle of safari experiences. The Crater boasts all of the ‘Big 5’, including a small population of black rhino.
After lunch we head towards Lake Ndutu and our lodge while doing a game drive in the Conservation Area. [BLD]

Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
We do a morning game driving around Lake Ndutu after breakfast. We return to the lodge for lunch and for a guided game walk in the afternoon.[BLD]

Day 6: Lake Ndutu – Serengeti National Park
We move further north towards the Seronera Area of the Serengeti. The Seronera River is the lifeblood of the Serengeti and renowned for great game viewing all year round. [BLD]

Day 7: Serengeti National Park
We spend a full day game driving around the Serengeti. Depending on the season your guide will take you to the best game viewing areas.[BLD]

Day 8: Serengeti National Park – Masai Mara National Park
This morning we continue our journey northwards and cross the border into Kenya before heading to the Masai Mara National Park. This is the traditional land of the Masai people, nomadic herders, who choose a traditional lifestyle and who are permitted to graze their cattle in this area. [BLD]
(Please note – this is a long driving day and includes a border crossing!)

Day 9: Masai Mara
After yesterday’s long drive we take it easy with a lazy breakfast. Late morning we go a bush walk around the area and visit one of the Masai Villages before returning to camp for lunch and an afternoon at leisure. [BLD]

Days 10: Masai Mara
Today we spend the whole day game viewing in the world famous Masai Mara National Park. The various habitats are home to a great variety of game including lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, wildebeest (gnu), giraffe, buffalo, jackal, topi, gazelles, impala and elephant. Hippopotamuses and crocodiles are plentiful in these rivers and the bird life is also abundant. [BLD]

Day 11: Masai Mara - Nairobi
After breakfast we head off towards Nairobi, the capitol city of Kenya. We have the afternoon at leisure or to explore the city. Nairobi is a cosmopolitan, lively, interesting and a pleasantly landscaped area. Its central business district is handily compact and it is therefore a great place to tune into modern urban African life. [B]

Day 12: Nairobi – Amboseli
After breakfast we make our way towards Amboseli.
We have sundowners on a deck overlooking a waterhole and then proceed on a night game drive. [BLD]

Day 13: Amboseli National Park
After breakfast we head into the Amboseli National Park for a full day of game driving. Amboseli is famous for its huge elephant bulls that make for the perfect safari pictures with Kilimanjaro in the background. [BLD]

Day 14: Amboseli - Arusha
After coffee we do an early morning walking safari in the conservation area before we start making out way to the border and then on to Arusha.
On the way we pass though the town of Moshi, the gateway to Kilimanjaro National Park. [BLD]

Day 15: Arusha
The tour ends after breakfast.
Your lodge is situated close to the Kilimanjaro International Airport for easy connection with your outbound flight, alternatively you will be dropped at our offices for onward arrangements. [B]
