Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar
Upon arrival in Zanzibar you will be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation for overnight. Dinner included at resort. [D]
Days 2 & 3: Matemwe Beach Village or Sultan Sands Island Resort
At your own leisure at your accommodation, dinner & breakfast included. [BD, BD, BD]
Matemwe Beach Village:
Enjoy lazy days by the swimming pool or the white sandy beaches of Matemwe. The relaxed atmosphere will see you making yourself at home amongst the books, games and huge cushions – all well placed for your enjoyment.
The on-site 5 star Padi dive centre organizes scuba diving, dive courses and snorkelling to various reefs, including the world famous Mnemba Atoll, which lies just opposite Matemwe. Spend a few days on excursions, from visitng the ancient streets of Stone Town, to Jozani Forest, Spice Tours, Sunset Dhow cruises, or a trip to swim with dolphins at Kizimkazi (these tours carry an additional cost).
Sultan Sands Island Resort:
Spend your days enjoying all the activities available at the hotel. Facilities include a Five-Star PADI Dive Centre, a Fitness centre, Health Spa, and flood-lit tennis court. For watersport enthusiasts, you can remain as active as you wish; with the beach volleyball, Windsurfers, Single and Double Kayaks, Sail Boats, Peddle Boats, Hobie Cats, Water trampoline and Body Boards.
Children aged 3 to 13 years will be kept out of mischief and fully entertained at the Childrens Club. Run by highly trained children’s animators with specialist first aid training, the Childrens Club offers days filled with fun outdoor and indoor activities, with weekly themed programmes. The children are also introduced to the swahili culture including basic swahili language, as well as local arts and crafts lessons. A professional baby sitting service is also available (at a nominal charge) either for day time or evening.
For those of you longing to lie back and relax, forget about work, and enjoy the tranquility, there are endless stretches of white sand beaches and a beautifully clear Indian Ocean for you to enjoy.
